Office for Global Engagement Scholarship Info Session

Learn more about Office for Global Engagement (OGE) Scholarships to fund Learning Abroad programs and Hinckley Institute Global Internships. Over $250,000 in funding available each year! Learning Abroad will answer questions about the different types of scholarships, how to apply, and will provide tips for creating a strong application.

Gilman and Boren Scholarship Info Session

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship offers grants of up to $5000 for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means (must be receiving the Federal Pell Grant) to pursue academic studies or credit-bearing internships abroad. Applicants who are studying a critical need language while abroad in a country where the language is predominantly spoken will be considered for the Critical Need Language Award, for a total award of $8,000.

The Boren Scholarship provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East). The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded. Boren Scholars are awarded up to $20,000 for an academic year. Competitive applicants will have a strong interest in government service.
